6D5N Komodo Waerebo Kelimutu Trip

This trip begins in Labuan Bajo and ends in Ende. With this package, you will see the komodo dragons, the traditional villages and houses in Flores island, the three color lake Kelimutu.

Day 01: Labuan Bajo - Rinca island - Pink Beach - Kalong island

  • Picked up at your hotel or at Komodo Airport and taken to Labuan Bajo harbor to sail for ± 2½ hours to Rinca Island.
  • Trekking with a ranger along ± 5 km away and return by a different route to witness the endangered komodo dragons in the wild natural habitat as well as other wild animals such as buffalo, deer and pigs.
  • Sailing to Pink Beach for snorkeling.
  • Snorkeling and ebjoying the beauty of Pink Beach with its red sand.
  • Sailing to Kalong island.
  • Watching thousands of fruit-eating bats flying out of their nest for their nightly food hunt while enjoying the sunset.
  • Having dinner and overnight in Kalong island.

Day 02: Kalong island - Komodo island - Manta Point - Labuan Bajo

  • Having breakfast on your boat.
  • Sailing to Komodo Island.
  • Trekking in Komodo island for ± 2½ hours to watch the komodo dragons in their natural habitat as well as other wild animals such as buffalo, wild horses, Timor deer, monkeys and wild boar.
  • Sailing to Manta Point for snorkeling. Lunch is served.
  • Sailing back to L. Bajo.
  • Picked up at the harbor and taken to your hotel.
  • Having dinner and overnight.

Day 03: Labuan Bajo - Waerebo

  • Having breakfast at your hotel.
  • Driving to Denge village.
  • Having lunch in Denge village.
  • Trekking for 4 hours to Wae Rebo.
  • Greeted by a welcome ceremony called "naka cai" in Waerebo village.
  • Interacting with Waerebo villagers to learn about their way of living and culture.
  • Having dinner and staying overnight in one of the traditional houses.

Day 04: Waerebo – Denge – Ruteng

  • Having breakfast.
  • Walking down back to Denge village.
  • Heading to Cancar.
  • Watching the spiderweblook ricefield in Cancar.
  • Having lunch in a restaurant in Cancar.
  • Proceeding to Ruteng, the capital of Central Manggarai Regency.
  • Visiting Ruteng Puu (another Manggaraian traditional village).
  • Visiting the old Cathedral to learn the history of Catolic Church in West Flores.
  • Having dinner in a restaurant.
  • Overnight in a hotel in Ruteng.

Day 05: Bajawa - Moni

  • Having breakfast at your hotel.
  • Driving to Aimere to see the process of making alcoholic beverages "Arak" of palm trees.
  • Heading to Bena village (the largest indigenous traditional village in Flores with its customs, stone megaliths and woven binding).
  • Having lunch a restaurant in Bena.
  • Proceeding to Nage Keo to see giant buffalo horns thought to live 8000 years ago.
  • Driving to Nanga Penda beach to see blue stones along the coast as far as 5 km.
  • Continuing to Moni.
  • Having dinner and overnight in an inn in Moni

Day 06 : Moni - Kelimutu - Ende

  • Driving to Kelimutu Lake (avout 1690 m above the sea level) very early in the morning (04:00-05:00 a.m.).
  • Leaving your car at the parking lot, you will walk up hundreds of stairs to get to the highest peak.
  • Arriving at the top, you will be exposed with the beauty of Kelimutu lake while enjoying the sunrise.
  • Getting down back to the parking lot.
  • Driving back to Moni.
  • Having breakfast.
  • Driving to Jopu village to see the process of making “kain tenun ikat”.
  • Heading to Ndua Riu traditional market to see people seling and buying vegetables and fruits.
  • Proceeding to Ende.
  • Visitng Bung Karno Museum, a house used by Bung Karno (Indonesian first President) when exhiled by the Dutch government.
  • Having lunch in a restaurant.
  • Finally taken to Ende Airport for your afternoon flight to your next destination.
